    If you can't afford a proper upgrade, continue watching your old TV set until it actually fails..

    While you are doing so, set aside some extra money for the replacement.

    Good question. With something like a TV I always buy on the basis of getting the best for my money not the biggest. Did you really need a 58" screen.
