    I had a phone call 2-3 days after the new products were issued telling me what the new rate would be and confirming it had passed affordability.

    My BDM also called me the day after that call to apologise and explain what had happened and the changes they had brought in to make sure this did not happen again.

    I’ve had good news that I’ve passed affordability on the new rates for remortgage, things are moving forward at long last! 🎉

    I think it helps people to know that there is no special treatment being banded about as they may think their broker let them down or could have done something more to prevent the higher rates so I wanted to clarify. Its interesting that you argued it and argued it, but never actively came back to let people know...

    Being completely honest, I actually thought you were lying as I knew there was no way you were an exception (thats not a dig at you, I just know how Bluestone work).

    It wasnt a told you so, its costing you however much more a month. I am sympathetic to the situation. I was just trying to make light of it whilst clarifying as when I read it back it sounded like I was rubbing it in. But I suppose words can come across differently when being read rather than said.

    If in any way you are mortgage advisor as your profile claims, you really are not good with the way you word things. I’m glad your not my advisor!
    In what way would it benefit me to lie? That’s a ridiculous thing to say.
    And like I said in my previous post, I advised everyone to ask their own brokers so wasn’t trying to pretend that I’d been offered something they hadn’t, just stating what my broker had emailed me that day.
    Not that it’s any of your business I’ve just come back from my holiday so posting updates for you to scrutinise wasn’t a high priority.

    If anyone else like to share their progress I’d be happy to hear from you!
    @ACG have a lovely evening!

    I let you know your rate was going up, you checked with your broker once or twice and were told it is not going up. You may not like the way I say things, but I gave you accurate information when your own broker gave you the wrong information.

    I did not say you were lying, just that I thought you were lying because I knew what you were saying was wrong. Some people lie in order to save face maybe. I was just struggling to understand how your broker could have checked with Bluestone and was so adamant you had secured your product because I had a phone call and an email stating pre-offer applications were going on the new rate.

    If I offended you or hurt your feelings, I apologise that was not my intention. But I have always being direct and to the point, some people like it, some people dont. Its not meant to offend but inevitably it does.

    No you’ve not offended me .. I just chose not to take your advise. It states on here not to.. you could be anyone.
    So no offence to you., I can be to the point too, what you have to say is irrelevant.

    How’s everyone getting on? We’ve managed to scramble together some extra deposit funds and now meet affordability so have proceeded to valuation. Does that pretty much guarantee we will get the mortgage offer? And how long from valuation to offer? We move in 2.5 weeks 😬
