Apologies, I will read through again to see what I have missed - the car was marked as my address, but I will double check the documents tonight, I believe this was a query I missed. I am just back from furlough, I have had further letters requesting payment from the cowboys but no call to court as of yet. I am assuming this could appear at anytime in the next year or two. Car Park pictures have been taken, though I had trouble with the timestamps so I need to mark them up.KeithP said:Buzz, are you reading people's replies?
There are at least two unanswered questions.
Fingers crossed I have heard the last of them, if they try to push this further surely they know its a losing battle.0 -
Whether this goes any further will have nothing to do with any debt collector. It will be the parking company in the driving seat for that. I don't think you've told us which PPC is chasing you - please tell us.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What is the name and address of the Registered Keeper on the vehicle's Registration Document - V5c?
Please don't guess. Check the document.1 -
Whats the DOCREF date of it? Before or after the PCN?2

If you do get a court claim, then you can find a definitive answer about who owns the land by paying the Land Registry a few quid.
Remember the call to court as you call it could be in the next six years from the date of the alleged event, not a year or two.
If you move in that time you should write a correction notice to the scammer's DPO giving the PCN number and your new address for service, plus proof of residency such as a copy of your updated V5C or a redacted utility bill or bank statement. You instruct the DPO to erase your old data and update it with your new address for service.
It is always worth setting up mail forwarding as well if you move.
Do keep complaining to the MA or whoever employed the scammers. A proper MA would have submitted a whitelist of VRMs to the scammers so genuine residents don't get ticketed. They should also instruct the scammers to cancel any PCN upon request whether it is for a resident's vehicle or for a visitor/tradesperson/delivery driver.
Remind the MA that they are jointly responsible for the actions of their agents, so could find themselves in court if the scammers decide to issue a claim.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Note taken, a move could be on the cards for 2021! I will make some enquiries with the resident managers who can give me the details for the building management firm and who is best to speak to. Thank you for your response, up to 6 years, should be fun!Fruitcake said:If you do get a court claim, then you can find a definitive answer about who owns the land by paying the Land Registry a few quid.

Nearly a year on and here we go, I have a letter from Gladstones Solicitors, do I carry on ignoring?
PCM UK have now left our property and we have a new scam firm in town, I have lost some of the photos from the car park, but I do have one of the pictures of the sign they had with wording, I have the actual sign in storage.0 -
That really depends on what the letter says.buzzUK said:I have a letter from Gladstones Solicitors, do I carry on ignoring?
Can you get any ideas on how to react to that letter from the first few paragraphs of the second post of the NEWBIES thread?
Or maybe the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread will help you.4
