Hi
I have a sum in Nationwide ISA. Is it possible to invest in stocks and shares ISA through vanguard or do I have to wait until April?
Thanks

Presumably your Nationwide ISA is a cash ISA. You can transfer this to a S&S ISA at any time. No need to wait until April.

Thanks for your reply, masonic.
Yes, it's a cash ISA.
Is it possible to leave the sum in the cash ISA untouched while putting money into a S&S ISA through vanguard?
Thanks again.0 -
Yes, if you've paid less than £20k into your cash ISA this tax year then you are free to use the rest of your allowance in a S&S ISA.PaulSimon said:Thanks for your reply, masonic.

I'd get that transferred over to Vanguard ASAP. Whats the return on the cash ISA?Save £12k in 2019 #154 - £14,826.60/£12kSave £12k in 2020 #128 - £4,155.62/£10k0

0.40%!
I gather that I can't just shift half of the amount in the Nationwide cash ISA to Vanguards stocks and shares.
Is it possible to shift half to a Nationwide stocks and shares ISA, and then move THAT amount to Vanguard?
I'm reluctant to shift all my savings to stocks and shares ISA, which is why I'm only looking to transfer a proportion of them.
Many thanks

For what reason can you not transfer half to Vanguard? We're in a new tax year now so you are free to partially transfer your 2019/20 contributions. If Vanguard will not accept a partial transfer, the easiest option is transfer half to another cash ISA then transfer that to Vanguard in full.PaulSimon said:I gather that I can't just shift half of the amount in the Nationwide cash ISA to Vanguards stocks and shares.
