Have you considered an air-to-air heat pump? These are particularly efficient at heating a single space such as the main living area. At best they deliver 3-4kW of heat per 1kW used. At worst they are significantly more efficient than a standard resistive heater.
You may not get away with hanging the the external unit half way up the wall of flats or be allowed to site it in the ground and run the piping up the wall although it's worth investigating as they are an option that most people dont consider.

  • Many/most will be ex HA/LA terms.

Air to heat etc. Fabbric [walls & roof] are always disallowed even when it's a buy out collective.

Many flavours from ALMO/shared/RTB/HTB so be careful and check. Grounds/common areas ditto never allowed so check.

Perhaps if you used proper words in a reasonable order we'd be able to understand what you are talking about

  • Perhaps if you want more understanding you could politely ask my friend. However I'm even handed and will always seek to help rather than insult people. In the context of contractual relationships to heat pump variants in flats.

I think an Orangeman is saying that wrapping curtains from John Lewis around the roof to provide insulation is not allowed, nor is throwing flavoured coffee grounds out of the window into the common areas.

Thanks for that, I think I now understand  :) as I frequently have problems trying to work out some of the garbled shorthand from RFTB, perhaps you'd be kind enough to translate for the rest of us in future.

I'm afraid most go over my head; I'm not very good at cryptic crosswords...
