Vanguard life strategy fund and Hargreaves Lansdowne Stocks and shares ISA

Hi,

I am an investing newbie and apologise in advance if this is a silly question/has been answered else-where!
I have a vanguard lifestrategy 100% Equity fund (investing for the long term and happy to take risk) as well as a HL stocks and shares Lifetime ISA (I already own a house so am planning to use this for retirement and have a work pension). Am I right in thinking I can invest in both in the same tax year? Just as long as I don't go over the yearly allowance?

Correct.  You can mix and match ISA types but cannot exceed the individual ISA type limit or the overall limit.  i.e. £4k LISA means £16k S&S ISA as the overall limit is £20k.
