I think they mean use the Halifax debit card to fund the Birmingham Midshire Savings account. I used to have these accounts but closed them a year ago, so can't see if it gives you this option as it only states on the summary deposit by DD.0

Just spoke to an agent via online chat. I asked the question could the £500 per month be paid to a financial institution i.e. Bank or building society. The agent came back and stated "as long as it's paid by debit card it's fine". So clear cut £500 monthly to a easy access account should be ok. I have a Kent Reliance easy access account which has this facility. At the start I wasn't sure but after studying it, it seems easy money for what's required. Also frees up two direct debit mandates for hopefully a future new reward account with another bank or to link to a donor account of a great switch incentive comes out requiring direct debit mandates.1

I wonder if it will be ok to do a round robin of funding several Halifax Rewards accounts with the required £1500, before launchng the £500 debit card payments from each of them?0

I just checked Birmingham Midshires, but cannot see any method of making a debit card payment into those accounts.
Possibly PayPal might be of use, as already stated. But, does anyone know if PayPal levy any charge for shunting money in and/or out?
