Thanks for the confirmation that I would get a good return on my Reward a/c by leaving £5000 in there on a permanent basis. I think I'm more worried about the security aspect of this, which is what I meant when I said that in the past that was always thought to be a bad idea. e.g. if my a/c or debit card is hacked/cloned how quickly would the bank normally respond?0

Different phone numbers are used for tracking and marketing services. Many banks utilise this form of intelligence/data gathering.
Some banks will show a different contact number on a website each and every time you click on the page.

Then again it could be just that each number has a finite number of calls it can handle at any one time, therefore they issue multiple numbers.1 -

Made the fully automated call today - strange that they didn`t ask for any security information. Decided on the £500 per month debit card payment option. Will fund our x-o Isa`s for the first few months using the debit card. There was no mention of choosing a start date so why was that mentioned in their information. We will cancel the monthly £750 in/out standing orders and the PO DD`s at the end of May and set up the new monthly £1500 in/out standing orders in June.

It would be easier to have £2000 monthly standing order going in and £1500 back two days later and then the £500 would be there to make the £500 monthly debit card payment on the first month and £505 on subsequent months to skim the £5 reward.
