NS&I Debit Card payments
Can you use multiple debit cards (in your own name) to pay into NS&I Income Bonds or does the system only facilitate one registered debit card?

You also do not register a debit card with NS&I. You just make deposits with any or all of your personal debit cards.Ed-1 said:NS&I Debit Card payments

This does, however, not preclude them from recording the card details on individual deposit transactions.-1 -
Info on using other 500 spend methods is on hotukdeals if thats of use such as revolut monzo monese curve starling etc etc .
As some spend methods may tie up your 500 spends longer than others... x how ever many reward accounts you have ie.some with multiple ac could be spending 1000 to 3000 monthly
Sounds like the BS ,s are feeling the pinch....

I suspect that has more to do with offers that require many debit card transactions (e.g. Co-op everyday rewards), since debit card transactions generally cost a processer a flat fee per transaction.TOP_CAT said:Info on using other 500 spend methods is on hotukdeals if thats of use such as revolut monzo monese curve starling etc etc .

No the thread (long thread) is not about the co-op or metro multiple spend type of offers.
The hotukdeals halifax £100 thread has info on the halifax 500 spend work around using the newer card platforms such as revolut monese monzo curve starling etc Here is one post as a example if people need further info it may be in the thread .1Mudlark1316th AugOne more addendum, in both Starling and Monzo's early days they allowed you to top up by debit card. As they grew they both stopped this as it's not sustainable as they have to pay fees for tops ups via debit card, whereas they don't for bank transfers. Obviously neither Monzo's request feature or Starling's settle up are intended for topping up your own account (hence why they discontinued debit card top ups), but you can game the system. They will not want you to do this but you don't owe them anything so you can do as you see fit. It's worth noting that it does cost them though, and so bear that in mind. Monzo stated it costs an average of £24 per user to support debit card top ups.
Any method you use where you have to enter your long card number will count as a spend in Halifax's eyes, but it will also incur a small cost for the company you choose to do it through. There's plenty of choices to pick from so pick one that works best for you.QuoteLikePermalinkIf the BS,s tighten up debit card spends such as ED-1 posted regarding Kent Relience as one example then other 500 spend methods are needed .

Other posts on HUKD have some further info on 500 spend methods for those who need options and info on possible work arounds .

I'm aware of what this thread and the HUKD thread you refer to are about. I am countering your suggestion that the reason for the withdrawal of certain BS debit card top-up facilities is the new Halifax offer. No employee or spokesperson of a BS that has withdrawn the offer has commented anything to this effect in any discussion I'm aware of, and since the charges levied for processing debit card transactions are usually a flat fee, then a high volume of low value transactions (such as those required for the Co-op cashback) is much worse for those organisations than a small number of large value transactions (such as those required for the Halifax cashback).TOP_CAT said:No the thread (long thread) is not about the co-op or metro multiple spend type of offers.

No Its not a suggestion because of the halifax offer at all although you could read into it that way if you wanted too .
People on here believe what ever they want it makes no difference to doing what works since I think about 2009 when rewards started?
The post point is only about other options for a 500 spend work around as that is what people on here can control or may need Its certainly the HDUK posters point and thats all that matters

Perhaps I read too much into your statement "Sounds like the BS ,s are feeling the pinch....", perhaps it was just a reference to the general financial pressure on businesses navigating the Covid crisis or similar rather than them feeling the impact of customers using their services to earn rewards elsewhere.TOP_CAT said:No Its not a suggestion because of the halifax offer at all although you could read into it that way if you wanted too .
