Second reward account opened around 21st June. Did £1500 pay-in straight afterwards. Received debit card on 29th June. Made a payment for around £230 on 29th June, then next day (30th June) made a payment for £280. Tracker does take a couple of days to update. So, yesterday when I checked tracker, it said the £500 pay-in was not satisfied for that account. When I check today it says £500 pay-in satisfied. Seems tracker is using transaction processed date as opposed to transaction date. Anyone wanna hazard a guess if the reward will be paid for June.

Don't tell me it says somewhere that the transaction processed date is what counts.
Cash withdrawals from cash machines, branches or Post Office® counters and payments that are disputed will not count towards the £500. We will also only include payments taken out from your account by the last day of the month.

Anyone who opened a Reward account post-13th March (whose Reward Extras didn't start until 1st July) missing a £2 reward for June that should have been paid yesterday?

    Yes, me.
The £2 reward is paid the second working day of the month, therefore it should be credited today.
So far it's not there and I don't think it will be.
I will wait until tomorrow, check again, and if no reward cleared I will call them.

The key here is that transaction has to be claimed by merchant and posted by Halifax on your transaction list by the 30th. Those 2 steps take about 2 days.
If you used the DC on the 30th then most likely you won't make it on time.
So yes, although Halifax did not use the term "processing date" in effect that is what counts. NOT the date when you made the transaction but that when it cleared,
The tracker adds further delay but that imo doesn't affect your qualifying.

Anyone else had their debit card spend total tracker not update since the 25th? Annoying when my spending to take me over the £500 cleared on the 26th. I imagine their systems will eventually update and reward without the need for a claim, but they could do this better.
They run the batch job monday to friday and it includes the previous days cleared transactions.
So it will always shows thursdays date on friday, saturday and sunday, then on monday morning it will change to sundays date.

I didn't think their IT would be able to cope with all the different permutations of Reward schemes running simultaneously for different account opening dates and it looks like I was right. It's normally in by now dated the 1st working day.

I get a “Something’s gone wrong” error when I click on the “Track Your Reward extras” link.

Hopefully they are rolling it over for July tonight to pay the £5 tomorrow.
Could someone please tell me where to find this “Track Your Reward extras” link.?
It does not seem to appear anywhere on my account, I applied for the £5.00 reward about 4 weeks ago and hopefully set things up to meet all the criteria.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Agreed.
On top of the other IT issues we have seen, in the tracker especially.
The business team who designed this schedule of changes and coexistence of different schemes did a very poor job, that affected IT and consequently us.
Last month I got duplicate £2 reward which has not been reclaimed by Halifax yet :)

No rewards have been paid under the new scheme yet, but several have apparently qualified using transactions that involve a transfer of funds via debit card to another financial account in their name, according to Halifax's tracker.
I doubt the tracker saying you qualify is legally binding, we don't even know if it's the same software that drives the tracker as pays the reward. They could be different and written by different people with no knowledge of exactly how the other is implemented.
Even if they pay it this month, Halifax could notice next month & change it.

That's what I meant by "apparently qualified". But statements made by Halifax need to be clear, fair and not misleading. If they say a customer is on track to receive the reward, and that turns out not to be the case, it would be expected that the customer wouldn't be penalised as a result. If the customer had the opportunity to qualify for the reward subsequent to being misinformed, but they relied on the information they received and did not take any further action towards qualifying, then it would be unwise of Halifax not to cough up.
