Afternoon all! All three sets of binmen have been, just the garden waste to go and there's nothing in it this week unless I cut the grass today. Trouble is, it's still a bit wet. I might, I might not...All presents are now here so that's sorted for the end of March [ look at me all organised for a change....].My friend in Madrid is now in lock down with her children and husband, They will be off school until March 23rd and then it's Easter. I hope she's got her coping mechanisms in place, she doesn't do well with confinement...She's very energetic and is a do-er...I will be roasting a chicken for after, so we'll have that tonight, it's off to OHs mams tomorrow night, then he's away for the weekend so chicken sandwiches for Friday then I'll boil the carcasse for chicken and noodle soup. No spends anticipated over the weekend and I could go out, but to be honest, I think I'll set myself the task of starting to clear the bottom of the garden and learn how to use sketch up and start designing my future shed at the weekend.Today I have less energetic things in mind, a trip to the GC to get some compost for seedlings is on the cards. ALong with a general tidy.Nanny, I hope the appointment went well...Ruby, a friend of a friend had the back muscle thing done and said that when she uses her arms to move things, she can feel the muscles working in her boobs which is very odd. Although the implants will be cold. Did you ask pros and cons of living with both of those choices, not necessarily the operations? Give the nurses a ring and ask...TA, that's pretty shocking really, no -one in their right mind or without loads of cash would imagine that's a resonable price for a dress. I liked the idea of bustier top and floaty or swishy skirt...And that was nice of the staff to keep you in bakes for the last time...Hunt them down wherever they go to! Nelski, hope the consultant can sort your pressure out, it's awful being constantly worried about something that you can't immediately change and the potential impact it could have...dumpling, I second what Monna said. Plus you know, if someone gets annoyed, they get annoyed, if someone embarasses themselves, so what...maybe you need a confidence course....Gers, good to hear they're finishing albeit slowly...Bella, hope they get it sorted, but if they have to wait, so be it, life changes, things happen. I might sound a bit dismissive, I don't mean to, but I've never had the impetus to get married and don't nderstand what it's all about although I can see that her future is somewhat dependent on doing that as far as accomodation/job goes....but you can't prepare for everything so long in advance, and I'm sure she'll rise the occasion and make the best of it. Hey all reading along, hope you're OK...Willpower Wednesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Just hung out my first load of washing outside this year - looked round and enjoyed that the little camellia I planted last year has three flowers on it and I didn't kill all of the cyclamen when I moved them! Not so enjoyable is the amount of tidying I need to do, I think I will have to re-invest in a council brown bin.
Nan - wishing you the best possible outcome at the appointment
RR - sending my best thoughts with your decision making.
Bella - sometimes things done in an imperfect rush turn out the best - I had a really small wedding, at the registry office and we went and had ice creams in the local park afterwards, it was perfect for us.

Work so far today:The panels will probably have to be taken off to complete the brick sterilisation. Still on track I think!I've been rather idle as I can't do too much or go out when they are here. DM has been fed and watered, I tried a new salmon and rocket fishcake for her, loads of green beans and sprouts with some potatoes. Yes, trying to fatten her up from 7.5st.12

Hi everyone
I've had a day off work today. Little grand daughter stayed last night...she was very good. DD and I and little one of course went out for breakfast this morning then I took her to my mam and dads. I did some computer jobs for my dad while she played. She had lots of cuddles with great grandad...it's lovely to see them together. She fascinates him how she crawls about so quickly. He's so happy because the only word she says is Gandad.
DD and I had a trip to our big Salvation Army charity shop which sells absolutely everything.
I was looking for a bigger basket for baby's toys...I got this and a couple of musical toys, a bath seat, a lovely little wooden dolls house with furniture and fairy figures for when she's a bit bigger.
And a purple hippo she can sit and bounce on...it's very cute and only £2 so we needed it!
Going to wash the toys and get sorted as I have a Tesco shop coming between 4 and 5pm. Will have little one for an hour or so later while DD goes to the gym

Afternoon allWe're back from the hospital and the oncologist was only running an hour late. The staff were in a C virus meeting ! Anyway Mr Fix It's cancer cells are on the rise again but not as much this time, so the consultant wants to wait and watch for another 4 mths. His advice to us about this virus to isolate ourselves from public places and gatherings of people as much as humanly possible, mainly because Mr Fix It's other health issues and age makes him very vunerable. Hey ho himself is now muttering something about bivouacs up the mountain and collecting water from the local river
. He'd love that, but he'd be on his own as I would have to stay home. Tenting up a mountain would be my kind of hell as I can only just manage caravanning on a super pitch with all my creature comforts to hand, especially the essentials like wine, biscuits, chocs and many books
Anyway thank you all for your positive thoughts, I'm sure it must have helped. P.S the consultant thinks that the C V will be on it's way out in 4 months, so here's hoping.
Bella what a terrible time and worry it must be for you and your DD. I hope you can get it sorted in such a short time scale , I'm sure you can do it. I shall send you my positive vibes and hope they help.TA How muchblimey !! I hope DGD can find the perfect dress at a lower price.
taff I hope your rellies in Madrid stay safe and keep well. We are set for a time at home too and I'm hoping we can do lots of jobs around the house and garden that have been put off. There will be no excuse to nip out for coffee for a whileNelski are they cinema goers ? Tickets for a film perhaps.Snoozer very wise to stock up I think considering Steve's health issues. I think we could survive for 2 months with the food here now, but I will do a last shop tomorrow for potatoes and some last minute fruit. I understand your reluctance in bringing the virus back home too ( I'm the same )Gers looking much better, the floor I mean. I can't really " see " you, personally ! Or can I ?I must stop now or I'll take up the whole page.Take care all, hugs to those who are in need. Thank you again. You lot are so wonderfulnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14
