Hello,  last year I went online and filled in a form with Fast Track to see if I had any PPI. I didn't hear anything up until now, therefore, I contacted all the lenders myself which was time-consuming I have heard back from Santander who is informing me to wait as they have a backlog I, therefore, contacted the Ombudsman I am still waiting to hear. Now Fast track is saying I owe money to them and I feel are hounding me with emails and phone calls for £19.50 for a check for £71.00. Am I within my rights not to pay them as I did all the leg work myself? they said there are 5 more lenders they are waiting to hear back from. Not sure what to do please any advice would be great.
Their phone calls are going to take huge chunks out of that £19.50!
Don’t forget texts, emails, letters etc

If you've signed a legally-binding contract with the Claim Company for them to represent you in PPI complaints and they instigated the complaint that resulted in your two refunds then you'll be billed accordingly.

    Sorry.

    You need to pay them.

Do it before they take legal action. It won't get any cheaper.

It's not very honourable to employ someone and then refuse to pay them.
  • Surly i can counter cost to bank,as its there fault thay failed to  Acknowledge claims, also why threaten me with bad credit, they are nothing more than bully's, bullying some one who cant pay because of covid, who's constant phone calls ,emails and text, are makeing me ill with stress, for a poxy few hundred quid, your comment wasn't helpful  sorry.

You can’t pay because of COVID? Did the bank not make you an offer and a subsequent payment? Where’s that money gone? If it’s a ‘poxy few hundred quid’, pay them, it’s clearly not that much to you if it’s a poxy amount.

you hired them for a process you could’ve done easily yourself, you signed their paperwork, you agreed to their fees.

re the costs, you might be able to try and get the bank to make a contribution if you can prove that they deliberately missed your accounts. Banks often bring more data online so them missing your accounts when you asked previously may mean they’ve subsequently found more archive data.

Either way, pay the CMC as they absolutely will take you to court. Do you want a CCJ over a poxy few hundred quid?
