Santandar ‘investigated‘ over 15 days and say the bank would get in touch with flygadgets bank and get back to Santandar. They did not get in touch and now Santandar say investigation is over and will decline a repayment back to me. I’ve escalated it up to complaints as Santandar did not investigate it until at least 4 days after I’d informed them that payment had shown up in my bank account. Santandar said they could not see payment at their end - complete fabrication. Fraud dept admitted that this could not have been the case as details show up on all computers at same time. Fortunately I took screen shot of payment which shows exact time I offered to send them these details. They were tardy to say the least with their investigation. I’ll let you know when complaints get back to me. Good luck all, it will be interesting to see if different banks take different views of this issue.
