Slightly confused by new text switching service
I now have about a month left on my current sim only deal and I'll potentially be looking to switch contract when it ends. I've been reading about recent changes to the switching process where it can now be done via text and where there is no longer a need to give 30 days notice.
I'm just trying to work out exactly what day I should be requesting a PAC code and signing up with a new supplier. If I do this 30 days before contract end will the two providers 'work it out' so that the service doesn't kick in until my contract ends, or do I need to make sure I do everything on a single day (I assume contract end date) in order to not be paying for overlapping contracts?

Get the PAC a few days before the end of your minimum term. When the minimum term ends give it to your new provider. You may end overlapping contracts for a couple of days but that won't cost very much really. You will get a refund for the unused days out of the started month form the old provider. The two providers will not 'work it out' so there is no overlap.0
