I agree! Coins should go in purses and moneybanks when giving them as gifts! It has reminded me that I intend to give a purse as a present, so must put a coin in!
And with regards to sharp objects being given as gifts, they should be exchanged for a coin too. My mum taught me that, having bought me a knife block, she then demanded money from me, so I gave her 2p!!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

At last an answer to why my purse is always empty, it's not my fault at all................. it's black, will have to ask santa for a new one i think :rotfl:
I have a friend that will only ever use a red purse as she reckons it will bring you more luck financially. Think its something to do with feng shui bt I'm not sure.0 -
FYI: It's supposed to be a silver coin.
The Chinese always give money in red envelopes, so it's probably a good coloir for a purse.
(My purse has a picture of my brother, my best friend, and my dog on the front.)

The Chinese believe that red is a generally very auspicious colour and specifically the colour symbolising prosperity. Feng shui is something different. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
