apologise if this been asked before I couldn't find exact answer.
I have a stocks-and-shares isa which was opened prior to this year, I have just deposited £20 to it (It was a small amount to just verify my bank transfer->isa setup works.)
If I open another stocks-and-shares isa with another provider this year, and deposit 20k (less £20) in there, is that allowed?
The reason I am considering this is that my stocks-and-shares isa provider has been having continuous technical difficulties over the past few days, and I have been constantly trying to fund my account and it's getting frustrating. Takes ages to get hold of anyone over the phone, and all they saying is that they are having technical problems, concerned this could drag on for a while.

No you cannot pay money into a second S&S ISA this tax year. Depending on your provider, you could transfer the money you paid in during this tax year to the second S&S ISA and then you would be free to top up that second account. Or you could use the rest of your allowance in a cash ISA and transfer that to the second S&S ISA after the end of the tax year.
