How strange? I suspect it's the browser you are using, try changing it and see what happens.
  • Snap. On iPad, doesn't matter which browser I use, wont load the forums.

It only appears to work if your ipad can support the new update and you need all the extra bits installed. My ipad is about 3 years old and I did manage to update it and can use the forum, we have a very old one lying around as well but that won't take the update and so can't be used on here at all.

I have 2 iPads, a mini 2 and an Air, both manufactured in 2015 and they both work fine, forum glitches excepted!

I did contact support ... here's the relevant section of their reply:

"That means, for example, currently supported Safari versions are Safari 13 (iOS 13) and Safari 12 (iOS 12).Any devices that are not able to update to these browsers may not be able to display the MSE Forum, either in part or in full. This may mean that when you try to access the Forum you see a white page or you encounter an error."

Mine appears to be on 10 with no "option" to update which I guess means it cannot be updated - the 10.0 update was 2016, not long ago so I still feel software that is only 4 years old cannot be supported. (btw am I being dim, how to I get email notifications for a thread ... there seems to be no 'button') ?

Have you tried downloading a better/newer/different browser?

My iPad won't allow me to post paragraphs anymore. Any idea what I can do? I'm not terribly technical so keep it simple.

From the main Site Feedback menu there is a flag thingy to the left of this thread title. Click that and you'll get a notification at the top of any page, to get email notifications you have to activate them in your profile settings.
