Giff Gaff - sold phone to giff gaff , no payment received

I recently sold my previous iPhone to giffgaff, posted securely in packaging provided etc, it was in perfect condition when sent, was misdirected by Royal Mail and instead of a 48hr service didn’t arrive until a week later, I was informed it had arrived with a smashed screen and my original offer for the phone was dramatically reduced, I refused the offer, asked repeatedly for images or proof of damage in order to make a claim for damage against Royal Mail but was told they did not provide proof ever. 

No phone was returned despite repeatedly requesting tracking details, yesterday I received a phone call from a member of the senior team stating the phone had been recycled in error and they would honour my original offer, the money would be in my account by 8pm .... guess what....it wasn’t 
I have now been onto the giffgaff site to discover countless people in the same position as myself ....payments promised but not received... is there anything that I can do to bring this situation to a satisfactory conclusion

Send them an LBA  letter before action . Google for templates .

State the facts only and say you intend to proceed with a court claim .

Looking at some refurb phone prices the past few days and the problem seems fairly widespread
with people not receiving payments.

I think they have suspended the service? Yes..

still still no payment , this was all before the service was suspended and they state all current orders will / have been honoured, they have little option for contacting them , an email is stated as being replied to generally within 5 days ! Same with voicemail , they have no call centre .. I am unsure if anyone will receive their payment so probably looking at tens of thousands of pounds or more they owe people

Hardly likely that a huge multi national company will evade payments .

I’m one of the people waiting for payment. From what I can make out giffgaff are trying to imply that another third party company called Redeem are responsible for payments. I’d hazard a guess that Redeem are a wholly owned subsidiary of Giffgaff, if someone has access to Companies House information can you check please?

Hello

I recent sold an Apple IPhone XR for a quoted 415 pounds via Giff Gaff. I sent the phone to a company in Macclesfield called Reedem UK by special delivery and received confirmation that they would pay me via BACS same day. Nothing arrived and giff gaff are not taking responsibility for their agents; leaving many people out of pocket. They are deleting websites posts to ensure the truth is not widely known. I hope you would be able to obtain monies owed for hundreds of consumers.
