RedRuby1231 said:Morning all
Its my Birthday today and while we are celebrating its a bit low key as it just doesnt feel like a normal one, we are calling it my practice Birthday and will celebrate again once my treatment is all finished (hopefully!) having said that my work friend popped round after work yesterday with so many lovely gifts there was a huge bunch of flowers a basket full of lovely foods, cheese crackers chutneys olives etc and a bottle of fizz, also a lovely planter for my patio all full of gorgeous plants and two tokens for Body shop and a book token, I was very touched and it made me cry a bit, but it was lovely and I am lucky to have such good friends. We do presents in the evening here so will open them later, I have bought nice breakfast things to have this morning. TA I share my day with your late dad
I have a towel wash on the go and will try to hang it out for a while and we all need to crack on and give the house a good clean through, I think my sis and her partner and my mum are coming tonight for food so will have to clean !
Nels good luch at the hospital remember to wash your hands a lot xx
Right have good days all xx
Where is the cake smiley ....we need a cake smiley
I will wash my hands lots and dont tell anyone but I have a bottles of sanitiser from the car ....I mostly wear gloves as my hands are always freezing so maybe some protection there too. Did consider taking a bottle and sneakily filling up at the ward entrance lol but I guess that's naughty

Morning folks AGAIN! Just popped back to wish REDRUBY a most lovely day. What good friends you have to send you such thoughtful gifts. I always remember that this is a busy time for birthdays on here but never remember whose is when! It's mine on Thursday so maybe I bring up the rear?!
Just waiting for the wm to finish. Did a dark wash yesterday and it's a light wash this morning. I have been industrious since my last post! Just a small postponed job but another off the long list! The medicine cupboard has been sorted out! Much sorting and pruning has been going on! Out of date stuff has hit the bin! (Hanging head in shame at the dates on some of it!!) It's all tidy now until my shipping order is due to collect in a week or so! x

Red Ruby, sorry I cross posted with you.
Nothing is nicer than having a birthday with another one expected later. Good friends are priceless and you are obviously a very precious human bean to yours. Enjoy the day and relish the attention. Bless you.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning All
Happy Birthday RR, what great friends you have. Hope your family spoil you too.
Good to have you back monna!
Back to rain and wind this morning, the TD may be brought into action later. I really need to push the hoover about but not sure I can be bothered, I woke up and 5 and just dozed for a couple of hours, would have felt better if I had just got up!
Off to Glasgow this morning to meet a friend for afternoon tea, will go for a wander first to see if I can get some new shoes for work. Afternoon Tea is my least favourite meal out (can you call it a meal?) but it was her turn to choose, just hope the scones aren't dry!
Have a good weekend all, take care. XX10 -
Happy birthday Redruby.
We had a lovely day with Esben yesterday. Brian was there as well (Laura was at College) but spent most of the day sorting out a holiday for them to go on before he starts work. They're off to Barbados in a couple of weeks, so long as everything remains ok, although I'm trying not to worry about them flying in a germ ridden tin can.
I don't know what we've got planned for today and I will have to decide on a meal for tonight as well.10 -
Happy birthday RR, I hope you have a lovely day.
Very late this morning, OH did not wake until 8.45, so took our time to get the feet on the floor.
The sun is trying to shine, we could do with a few more days of warmish weather to dry out the grass the lawns are starting to look like a meadow!!
OH has at last got a smile, I think the teeth are too big, but after 4 weeks at least I can drop the nursery food. I hate soft mushy veg which is what I have been having to cook so he could mash everything up.
Supper sausage and mash, no idea about a dessert.11 -
Hello, I've just found you, I'd joined the garden fence thread but have worked out that this is different, hope you can join both.
Not much happening here today, but hope to get youngest ds who's a young adult with autism, out for a walk in the fresh air somewhere as he has just got over hand foot and mouth, he's back to college on Monday and it's a pretty germy place even without the worry of coronavirus.
Other than that I'm waiting for my washing to finish spinning and I might actually hang it out outside...however as I speak it seems to be coming over rather cloudy...........11 -
Happy Birthday RR hope you have a wonderful day with family

Hi everyone, just popping on to wish RRuby a Happy Birthday and wish you an even better one after you've done with your treatment.Lovely of your friends, obviously well thought ofHouse is peaceful, DGD not here yet & DGS is busy drawing. Hound walked - I saw Aunties old friend at the bus stop so went to chat. He's really at a loose end since she passed away and finds time drags, they always had coffee together at hers once he'd got back from his daily trip to town, usually lunchtime by the time he left. I was getting a bit concerned as I haven't been on the bus much and when I have he wasn't on. He's fine anyway so that's good.We had a nice night out last night watching DGodson & catching up with the' gang' who follow the band as they haven't played since before Xmas .We also went in a new bar that a friend of both DSons has opened, it is really nice and good to see him too.Right lunchtime calls ,hugs to all in need xPS Welcome MollyWindley, course you can post here too
