    Thanks for the reply. It relates to an existing approved re-mortgage with Halifax and confirming some map details with them. A letter was sent from our solicitor to affirm some details however that was 2 - 3 weeks ago and nothing has come back . My hope was to ring the underwriters and ask for an update . .

    Im 99% sure they dont work over the weekend you need to wait for monday due to coronavirus they will only advice you if its urgent contact them because at this moment everything slowing down good luck

    Be surprised if they will deal with you directly. They don't publish numbers for good reason.

    Thanks anyway folks - been 3 weeks and not one acknowledgement to letter from solicitor so it’s been a very slow and this global epidemic will add to that.

    What was your last contact with the solicitors?
    Have you provided ID, proof of deposit, paid the Search fees etc?

    Did you ask them to hold off doing anything until you had the mortgage offer?

    Have you and your solicitors received the sales particulars from the EA? If not, the solicitors can't do anything.
    Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

    This is mortgage that’s already in place a number of years - all that has been done. We are trying to get some specific details from the underwriters at the time of completion
