  • Looks like they are just doing it to try discourage dodgy brokers from falsifying information without clients knowledge
  • Also maybe delete pic unless you are happy to publish who your broker is (contact number will be the brokers mobile I assume)

Is the information accurate? That's the important thing.

As mentioned previously, we issue a copy of the application summary, factfind, illustration and suitability letter to each client as soon as it has been submitted. We ask them to check all and reply to confirm understanding and acceptance. You can tell the ones who read it when they reply and say they didn't move in to their current home on 8 March 2020 (case creation date on Halifax system) which is the Halifax pdf output if you leave the radio button filled to say at current address three years or more.

This isn't asking me to reply just to check over which all looks perfect.

Hi folks - my first post here but looking some help.

I need to contact the Halifax mortgage underwriter support team on behalf of my father law but obviously I can’t speak on his behalf as he is account holder - but we have not been able to get through to the correct department.

I just wondered if anyone on this page had :
    - an email for the underwriter support team at halifax
    - direct contact number for the underwriter support team.

its been a disaster getting someone to reply to a query we have and feel like we are waisting time.

    thanks a lot folks!!
  • Pretty much everywhere has long hold times at the moment, for obvious reasons (but appreciate it is frustrating if you ring the wrong department and get passed around in long call queues because nobody knows who’s supposed to help!)

Cab you elaborate a bit more on why you or he needs to speak to them?

I ask because if it’s a payment holiday or similar, it won’t be underwriting (not at first point of contact anyway). If you elaborate a bit more you’ve got more chance of being given the right number / contact method.
