Halifax underwriting help/advice

Options
Can someone please help im going out of my mind 😣😣
So long story short app has been submitted via a broker.
85%ltv new build, porting existing and topping up.
So we had DIP all approved and application submitted was told its had to go via underwriter as notice of correction is on credit file. Was told 48 hrs for response.
Do halifax underwriting teams work weekends? He doesn't seem to concerned and thinks it should all be OK but I'm just very concerned it's all so stressful.
Other concern is builder give me details of there Brokers who tried to get me a. DiP with Halifax Orginally and this declined on credit score and he said he appealed it and again still declined.
Im just concerned if one declined is other going to get picked up and decline.

Sorry for waffling on im just worried we going to lose our dream home 😬😬

  • No, no lender takes weekends into SLA's/working times, Halifax are on the ball at the moment.  If your broker is not concerned then there is really no reason as to why you should be. 48 hours from when? Let your brokers admin do their work, that is what you are paying them to do!!

Take things for how they are.  Not what others say etc.

He only did app yesterday so only 24hrs, i guess we will no ether way Monday.
Im Only worried with the other declining, im not sure if there was a time frame from reapplying.

  • It really is so easy to say not to worry BUT standard working times are 48 hours.  Has your valuation been booked yet as the report can be available 48 hours later, then it needs to be assessed.  It is very early days and your broker will receive an email with  additional requirements if so be it.

I was exactly the same as you, try and find yourself something to keep yourself calm over the weekend, there’s nothing you can do until Monday. I wish you well :-)

Notice of correction was because we had paid off a commitment and it's still on file so we called experian to ask them to push the company along as broker was still having to declare and there have put a correction to say i dispute amount and awaiting response from company. Amount was only 1000k loan and had 3 months outstanding so hopefully it won't make to much of a problem

Val hasn't been booked altho card payment details taking as broker has asked them to not instruct until all agreed
  • Lender would have ignored it anyway with only 3 months left.  Notice of correction probably wasn't needed and may have gone straight to offer without it.
But it sounds like it will be a formality for them checking what the NoC is so I wouldn't panic of I were you

Thank you, today i have received a letter saying your new mortgage, then second page says  mortgage application summary, with all details of income, seller details etc
Broker has said he hasn't had anything like this before? So i have no idea 🤔
  • I wasn't aware Halifax sent all this to clients.   I know they did on further advances but wasn't aware for a purchase.   Must be a new anti fraud thing to make sure your application has been submitted as you expected
