Hi
I bought 3 tracksuits online at JD Sports at the end of October 2019. I returned them to the store within the returns period, but they would only refund one of the tracksuits instore and said the other two would have to be posted to nike. I did that and after several emails and phone calls they just keep giving me the runaround for my refund. I have proof of postage and its showing the items were delivered back to nike.
I am wondering what I can do now I paid with a credit card and it was over £100 can I do a section 75?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Over £100 each or total? S75 is based on the item price. If it was a pack of 2 at £150 then you're covered. if it was 2 items at £75 each then you're not.

You didn't properly answer my question ... was it a pack of 2 at £120, or 2 separate items totalling £120? The former gives you S75 cover, the latter doesn't.

Hi it was 2 seperate items they were £60 each so £120 total. So going by what you say I am not covered for S75 so what can I do now surely they can't get away with this?

Not a lot - you've probably left it too long to try chargeback. Last resort is small claims court (MCOL) ... you should send a Letter Before Action first.

Sorry.  Are you saying that you returned the items to Nike rather than J D Sports sending them back to Nike?
Why would J D Sports refund you if you sent them back yourself?    Do J D Sports even know you've sent them back yourself?  Surely JD should have returned them to Nike (for a report presumably) and then refunded you (or not) depending on the report?

    Perhaps I'm just being thick...

OP says that J D Sports told them to return them to Nike, so OP followed the seller's (probably incorrect) instructions.

Did you put any information in with the return?
Nike probably have no idea what they are, as all references will be for JD Sports.
Who have you been contacting, Nike or JD Sports?

Who knows - OP could have been told: "OK - we can refund you for these ones but these ones will have to go back to Nike for a decision."  OP decides to think about it and then sends them off themselves.  Anything is possible here.  It's probably(?) more likely than the OP being told by JD to send them back to Nike themself.  (OK - maybe both are equally likely...)

  • Hi when I took the items back to JD Sports shop the store assistant wouldn't take 2 of the same (different sizes) tracksuits back they said these would have to go back to nike directly even though I ordered them from JDsports website. I have been in contact with JD Sports who are contacting nike who are basically saying they can't find the items. When I posted the items back I did put the paper work in.
