Buying a house while having a council house

If you were to just move out a neighbour might report this to the council possibly leading to eviction proceedings/
Morally it depends on the pressure on social housing in your area but in an alternative scenario should you die with your three sons living at home chances are they would be allowed to succeed the tenancy.
There are also very few local authorities and councils who agree to family on tenancies aside of partner/husband.
Often tenancies only allow 1 assignment to take place during the entire tenancy - this includes joint to sole or vice versa.
This is a question for your specific provider. Might be worth thinking about whivh son you would choose if they did allow an assignment because there is no way theyvwould all be given tenancy rights.
They really need to move with you or find alternative accommodation. Private rental is probably their only option.

from a moral POV, why should the tax payers be paying for your inheritance if you can afford to buy your own house? What makes you so special?
leave the house to someone else who needs it more than you. You aren't leaving your children homeless, your buying a home right?
