If the buyer is paying cash what would be the purpose of the buyer claiming Non receipt? They can hardly force you to give the cash back!tuggy12 said:

If they have paid cash then any non delivery claim would be worthless as to win such a claim they would have to prove that payment was made and to have any hope of a refund, they would have to had paid via Paypal.
Just make sure that your buyer pays in full with cash and doesn't come up with any excuses saying that they couldn't get to a cashpoint so will have to pay by cheque or Paypal.
To avoid any possible future problems (not a claim of not delivery), you could always type out an invoice stating something along the lines of:
"eBay item No ..... collected by XXXXX and paid in full upon collection. Item has been inspected and found satisfactory by purchaser" and ask them to sign and date it.
This won't be of any use as far as eBay are concerned but it may possibly help should the buyer later claim that the item was damaged or not as described and then threatens legal action if you don't refund.2 -
Thanks for your constructive reply, it's just that I've heard of scams taking place with cash on collection deals and wanted to ensure I wasn't setting myself up to be scammed.shaun_from_Africa said:If they have paid cash then any non delivery claim would be worthless as to win such a claim they would have to prove that payment was made and to have any hope of a refund, they would have to had paid via Paypal.

OP- I think you maybe thinking of collected items that were paid by paypal, not cash on collection. If they paid you cash - how can they get it back?tuggy12 said:

The only issue is they claim it is not as described and want to send it back, which will be at your expense. But that is a difficult one to prove as they inspect it prior to taking it awayYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0
