Topofthehill said:I had two flights booked with Flybe which i paid for on my M&S credit card. The forms supplied by M&S for a claim state that I must try and make contact with Flybe for a refund before submitting a Section 75 claim and provide evidence I have done so. How do I go about this. I presume there is no point trying to contact Flybe through the usual channels. Thanks
Last time I was affected by a big airline failure (Monarch) the credit card company straight away accepted my claim over the phone and credited the amount immediately.
When it's a high profile failure like flybe there's no need to make customers jump through hoops. Sadly the airline is gone. It's well documented and M&S will know this.
Once it's resolved I'd be ditching M&S for another credit card.0 -
Our Flybe flight has been cancelled and we've been rebooked onto an Air France flight but a later time on the same day. We need to be in Paris earlier than the rebooked flight time. Air France have said they can only refund both outboard and return flights. Is there not a way to claim for the outbound flight? We've rebooked with easy jet to get there earlier but will use the original return flight that's with air France0

Booked a flight to Florida through lastminute.com, flying from Cardiff to Orlando via Dublin.
lastminute have pretty much ignored my attempts to contact them, or provided just a canned response. The Dublin to Orlando leg is still confirmed with the airline (Aer Lingus).
My nationwide FlexPlus travel insurance said I need to speak to the booking agent in the first instance as it’s only the Cardiff to Dublin leg that has failed and alternative arrangements could be made.
now I’m stuck in limbo as flight prices for that route have rocketed and would require flying from Bristol instead, which is doable. But if I claim back on section 75 or chargeback I’m still lumped with an extra £600 cost + would have to extend by 1 day incurring more cost
i just don’t know what to do0 -

As long as it’s all on the same booking then Aer Lingus will have to try an re-route you, or provide a full refund. Nobody has taken up CWL-DUB yet so be prepared that the reroute option will likely be Bristol or Birmingham. You might be able to speak to Aer Lingus to explore your options, however Lastminute.com will have to be the ones to make any change as booking agent.1 -
