Three FlyBe threads already. Any chance we can have them merged and just run with one thread for shared problems, questions and hopefully some answers?0

I’ve merged 3 threads that were concerning the demise of Flybe.
if we can, I’d like to keep all questions about Flybe on this thread.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I expect the MSE’ers will issue an updated article on what do do if caught up in the collapse of FlyBe but in the meantime this link to the BBC covers the basics well -

Blue Island Airways have a statement on their website indicating that their flights will continue to operate as normal (today) https://www.blueislands.com/
Long term they will have a conundrum as they used the FlyBe website for reservations and support. For now they seem not to have alternative plans in place. An airline with facilities not to take bookings is far from ideal. Hopefully behind the scenes and after the January warnings, Blue Island started to work on backup plans.0 -
acrichards said:Hi I’m looking for some advice on what to do about the imminent Flybe administration news? I have flights booked for July to Paris with my little boy (for Disney) and the ticket says this particular flight is operated by Air France. I am wondering if there is any chance my tickets will still be valid and Air France might honour them as this flight will still depart. The prices for rebooking with Air France direct or with other airlines is more than double the price I paid. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
(If your booking and contract is with Virgin then they have to find you alternative flights or refund you)0 -

Blue Islands (and Eastern Airways) both had their own reservation systems before getting into bed with flybe. There are many off the shelf solutions for small airlines reservation and ticketing systems which is probably what they used before, so I imagine they'll be up and running without too much delay. Eastern have been very slow today though and still link to flybe to book.0 -
Hi All,
I have a trip to Amsterdam booked for my cousins birthday at the end of the month. I booked through Expedia (Hotel/Flights/Transfers) and receieved my ATOL certificate showing it as a "Package Single Contract".
The package details on the ATOL certificate lists my flights as:
Flight: Amsterdam (AMS-Schiphol) - Exeter (EXT-Exeter Intl.) 22/03/2020
Exeter (EXT-Exeter Intl.) - Amsterdam (AMS-Schiphol) 22/03/2020 Virgin Atlantic
The details on my booking indicate the flights are:
Airport check-in with Flybe
Virgin Atlantic 8737 Operated by FLYBE.
Is my flight with FLYBE or Virgin? I had assumed it was FLYBE given the route.
I am quite confused as to my options here, I am under the impression my flight will not be operating with the recent issues with FLYBE. Who is my first point of call? Are Expedia liable as I booked the elements together at the same time and all through them and the ATOL certificate they sent states package? Is this considered a package deal?
Currently on hold with Expedia for over an hour (expected at present) but trying to work out where I stand regarding alternative flights and who would pay for them, or failing that a refund? from Expedia?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Virgin Atlantic dont operate that route, it was just a codeshare. You need to contact Expedia.1

@RS1983. FlyBe flights so expect disruption but you are in a much better position others. It appears you have a protected package. Expedia, under their ATOL are now responsible for sourcing alternation flights for your package. This is at their cost. If they cannot do this you would be due a refund on the full package cost. Contact Expedia.1
