Plusnet compensation

I had issues with poor broadband since my connection started with PlusNet On 6 Nov last year, til our fifth and final Openreach engineer visit on 28 Jan this year. It was pretty much unusable, and I had to pay for more phone data (£7) to use the internet. Plusnet have offered me £15 compensation, upping to £20 when I queried that amount. I paid £195 for 12 months up front. They say because my broadband is “free” and I only paid for line rental, then they can’t offer more than this goodwill gesture.
Are they right, and should I just accept this?
Thanks.

That’s it. Technically the broadband cost is discounted, so I’ve technically paid £16/£17 per month line rental.0

The basic BB charge on Plusnet for non advance payment customers is £4 a month for the first 12 months so three months compensation is worth £12. I don't think Pusnet will re-inburse you for any money you spent on the £7 for mobile data, they are probably covered by their terms and conditions.0

Currently Plusnet is £19.99 line rental plus £0 for ADSL, £3 for fibre and £7 for fibre plus.
