Car insurance wont go through

Hi
My boyfriends insurance is due on his van. Hes had a renewal quote from his existing provider but weve found several that are cheaper. We go through all the stuff and then when it gets to payment it keeps getting a message to call the company.
Weve done this and they cant give us a reason why it wont go through. We initially tried doing it as pay monthly and when that didnt work we went with pay in one go in case it was a credit issue but it still wont work. Weve also tried it with a couple of different firms and are getting their same problem.

Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be. Thanks

    None of us own a crystal ball, how about doing what they ask and ring them to find out exactly what the issue is.

    Nope! Nothing has changed from mast year at all which is why we are struggling to figure it all out.

    The answer may be in the title - “car” insurance. He has a van, and the insurers don’t expect to see vans used for “normal” (social, domestic and pleasure) purposes.

    Sorry that's me being an idiot. It should have said we are doing van quotes and not car quotes

    And they can't take payment for the policy directly over the phone?

    Nope! That's why we are so stumped. Nothing has changed since the last policy at all.

    Are they saying that the payment won't go through? there is something wrong with your card- call your card issuer to find out what it is.
    I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

    (except air quality and Medical Science ;))
