Other countries are trying to save their vulnerable population.
UK hardly cares if few pensioners die because it saves the treasury. In the meantime few rich people can carry on accumulating their wealth as long as wheels of economy are turning.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

So the UK are saying that all these other countries have got it wrong going on lock down now, they would be better off waiting before total lockdown?
No they're not saying that. They're saying that the UK's approach is more appropriate for the UK's situation. They'll be wrong, right or it'll make no difference.

Nobody needs permission off Boris Johnson to self isolate. If I was mid-eighties with a number of health problems that's what I'd be doing. The reality is that the most vulnerable were self isolating already except it used to be called not getting out a lot.

It’s a very dangerous assumption to think that you can get immunity when there is no evidence at all for this

there is evidence that this novel virus is like AIDS and that AIDS drugs can help a little bit there is no building immunity to these type of virus

SO I SAY AGAIN ITS A VERY DANGEROUS ASSUMPTION AND WHAT IS IT BASED ON?

The virus is already in the UK and is spreading. I can’t see how banning travel can stop the spread now.

That’s just as stupid as these ones saying you may as well get it then if you survive that’s it you are immune and can help others.

It’s a very dangerous assumption that if you recovered then it’s over for you and you would be safe to help others. It could be true but for now a very dangerous assumption. Proverbs 22:3 says the wise one sees the danger early and concealed himself.

China have the right idea to go into total lockdown only one person allowed out for supplies once per week and only with full Personnel protection equipment.

why does the UK somehow thing we won’t be as bad as China and Italy

A little thought re travelling and a friend of mine is looking forward to flying off soon to her sons wedding.

I pointed out to her that that means travelling and I suspect the airline she was due to go on is the one I've been expecting to go bust and it just has recently and I thought/hoped other airlines would follow suit (so might apply whichever firm it is).

So I made the suggestion to her that maybe her son might like to make sure someone videos the wedding and puts it up on YouTube - and she can then come round my place and watch it virtually whilst it happens on my huge computer screen. It's obviously no substitute for actually being there, but a sight better than nothing I guess.

I think we may well have to have a noticeable number of events done this way pro tem.

Listening on the radio today, it amazed me to hear how many people are whinging about not being able to go abroad, and complaining about not being able to take their booked holidays, etc. If it were me, I'd cancel anything abroad like a shot, whether I'd be losing money or not. Go somewhere in the UK – so many beautiful places to see …

Boris (flat earth) Johnson has decided that the UK’s NHS is so unique that his corona virus policy is not going to be like the majority of other countries.

There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.
