Hospital Bag for Baby & Me... what do I need?

  • Honestly I didn't need half of what I packed! The things I was extremely glad of were;
    - INDUSTRIAL pads...my waters leaked for 24hrs and I had to be induced, the hospital didn't provide anything so without these I'd have been in a soaking bed for 12hrs. I used these ones https://www.always.co.uk/en-gb/shop-products/sanitary-towels/always-maxi/sanitary-towels-with-wings-always-maxi-long (got them in b&m).
    - An old towel, again handy for the leaking.
    - Cold bottled water. I don't like tap water. I had bottled water in the freezer with cold packs at home & kept an insulated bag on top of my hospital bag to remind me. Honestly 24 hrs later the water was still cold and it was lush! This was also used in labour with a cloth on my head and it was nice.
    - Nice shower gel. I got a shower after and it was a nice comfort.
    With regards to baby, I packed approx 50 nappies and 10 baby grows. I was out less than 24hrs after the birth. I used one baby grow, 1 outfit and not very many nappies.
    Best of luck!

    Saw an ad online at Nutmeg (Morrisons) for a baby bag with clothes etc recently.
