What are your final preparations Chris?[STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

I intend to take it easy this week deedee. I shall be going to the running club tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday evenings, probably doing 3-5 miles. I finish work on Thursday - on leave for a fortnight and wont be doing much until Sunday apart from relaxation. On my runs I will be concentrating on running form, breathing and being aware of any tension in my body. I will also be practicing visualisation techniques. 90% of a runner's battle occurs in the mind. I will be working on self belief and affirmations. I have cut out the alcohol, cut down on tea and coffee and starting to increase the water intake.I am looking at my diet and increasing carbohydrates.
I have to go and register later in the week which will be an opportunity to hear some motivation speakers and meet people from my charity. The charity is also putting on a pasta party on Saturday evening, which I may go to.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -

There will be some variations between runners but it is generally accepted that two much running in the final fortnight of an important run is counterproductive and it best to concentrate on relaxation. People will have their own ways to relax of course. Also what you eat and drink is considered important particularly in the run up. I feel that I drink too much tea and coffee anyway and as these thing are now thought to dehydrate you, I have decided to reduce my intake.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Only one or two then.:DI wish you......
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.0 -
Instead of carrying the Times, I will be carrying the Beano
I will be wearing that green shirt because it is a Macmillan shirt and they are encouraging their supporters to turn out and cheer the Macmillan Runners on“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0
