Holiday Booking coronavirus in Italy

I have holiday booked to Milan on 1 May which includes family members with health conditions. I have have paid a deposit with my credit card and have trip distruption insurance and cancellation policy. With the outbreak of the coronavirus in Italy can I cancel my holiday and claim the deposit back from my credit card company or my insurance. My booking is also covered by Atol. What should I do? I'm worried about the family members with the weak immune system on whether they should travel to the Italy airport, especially as the airports are normally the breading ground for bacterial.

There is currently no FCO guidance against travel to Milan0 -
As above.
You should however rule out a claim via your credit card company (section 75 doesn’t apply) or against ATOL (financial protection against a company financial failure).
I do sympathise with your predicament but there is a chance that you will not have a financial safe guard and refund option. It may just come down to a personal decision not to travel and that your money on any non-refundable travel items is lost and will need to be written off.
1 May is however a long time off. Things change hourly/daily. I wouldn’t do anything rash at this time.0
