problems accessing my virgin ntl email

Options
I'm not great with technology, my late Husband was the tech person. On my bookmarks I have my virgin ntl email address, it auto fills the address and pass word, same one for 15 years. It now says one is wrong. It puts a green tick next to the address but even if I manually enter the correct password it says that its wrong. So I tick forgotten password, it then takes me to a screen that says my user name is not registered with them. I've spent 40 mins wed and 35 mins on the phone to a call centre, not sure if its a UK one, they cannot seem to resolve it either. They've now said I will be called back in 5 days. Any one any ideas? thanks

    OP
Are you a customer of Virgin ?
Or have you been using the email address all this time ?
Just a thought but if you don't have any VM services then maybe you have lost access to the email address.
They can also be contacted on twitter but try the Virgin Media forums first.

Try a client e.mail, ie I use thunderbird on pc or E,mail app on android, plus you can put all your e.mail addresses on I ., if you haven't got an internet based em address, its a good idea to get 1 (or 2)  Virgin has a habit of playing up.

They still havent called me back, despite 2 lengthy calls . There is a help forum but you have to login and it wont recognise my email. I guess that I will have to wait, on friday they said someone would call within 5 days. I have some holiday documents on there that I need. Thanks everyone

Are you sure you are still a Virgin Media customer? If not then Virgin Media would have removed your email address. I think you may need to create a new free email address such as a Gmail one, see
    https://accounts.google.com/signup/v2/webcreateaccount?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=SignUp
Or an Outlook one, see https://outlook.live.com/owa/
Its then easy to sign in to the new account.
Then I think you may need to request that the holiday company sends you your documents again to the new address.

thanks, yes still a customer, have land line, internet, tivo box , all working. on my book marks I also have my late Husbands email, its since I tried to log in to see if anything had been received that I've had a problem. I wonder if i've breached security or something. As yet no phone call back from them . I've just gone through to page where you enter your account number and area number and it says theres a problem
