YouView app going at the end of March

Starting today YouView will be phasing out support for the YouView mobile app with final support ending on the 31st March 2020. The YouView mobile app will then be removed from the App Store and Google Play. The BT TV app is available to all BT TV subscribers.

if you have YouView from PlusNet, TalkTalk or have a YouView recorder (e.g. Humax) then you are out of luck.  You’ll no longer be able to view the YouView schedule and remotely schedule recordings.

This is pretty disappointing, we recently switched from using a BT YouView box to the Manhattan T3-R and the remote record ability is the only thing we miss. Looks like even if we still had the BT YouView box we'd not benefit as we were not subscribers.
