Blimey, the terminology isn't exactly clear, is it? So far in this thread, I've read:
- carer
- lead carer
- primary carer
- relevant carer
- responsible carer

Just posting to agree with what tomtom has posted, You can have 1 parent noted as the carer for a disabled child who is in receipt of DLA/PIP and the other parent noted as the carer of the other children.
The way the information is reported on the claim disclosure is not currently enabling this and needs to be corrected.
May be best to call the Service Centre and speak to the Case Managers who administer the claims, to discuss the way caring responsibilities are currently reported on the claim. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -
Thanks to both huckster and tomtom for clarifying that. Not specifically covered in ADM so not clear.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

This seems to be the most likely route to sort the problem, given that the work coach is clearly being unreasonable! The whole point is to tailor their support to claimants' individual circumstances, which they are evidently not doing.huckster said:May be best to call the Service Centre and speak to the Case Managers who administer the claims, to discuss the way caring responsibilities are currently reported on the claim.1
