I was on (prescribed) reductil last year and think it affect my head resulting in bouts of severe depression - barely lost any weight either.
I then lost nearly 2st on Xenical, but the side effects can be horrendous (2 drunken handfuls of pistachios meant I could not go to work for 1/2 a day the next day)
Unfortunately I then managed to get gallstones - not sure if this was directly linked - seeing as everything that passed my lips was less than 5% fat - but apparently its very unusual at 34.
I have had to have may gallbladder removed, not sure if I can go back on the Xenical or not tho as it did work and wasnt too bad as long as I watched the fat0 -

It's not unusual. The medical text books tell you that it's most common in "Fat, Fair Forty year old Females", but obviously they occur in anyone. They do increase with age, but I wouldn't say 34 is young to have them.0 -
There's a report on Daily Mail site today about dangers of Reductil - heart attacks/strokes etc.0
