Hi, everyone!
I was just wondering do you have to pay for the drug after yoyr gp has prescribed it to you?
Thank you!0 -
I took it for 3 months (prescribed by GP) and it raised by blood pressure and my pulse and I passed out and fell down the stairs. Don't touch it without medical supervision and even then with caution. Its a serious drug.

Believe me I know what it is like to be desperate to lose weight but if you buy this on the net how do you know what you are getting ...
If you need to get a real kick start why not try something like the lighter Life diet where you do pay each month but at least you are checked over by your g.p, and have support and councelling each week..
I havn't done this myself but do know a few girls that have . Some have kept the weight off and some haven't ( the ones who put the weight back on didn't stick to it or get to the bit where they started introducing food again).
I am sure there are people on this board that have done it and can advise... I also have a friend who went on slimming pills bought on the net and lost heaps of weight to start with but also had several side effects like being hyperactive, being unable to sleep and getting facial hair.. She is now bigger than when she started...
Just be careful whatever you do...0 -
Please don't try Lighter Life, it doesn't sound very healthy not eating actual food & only 500 calories a day, plus it costs around £66 a week as far as I know? Also a stone a month just isn't safe weight loss & alot who used it had excess skin. Has anyone done this who can say what their experience has been? And when the Dr does the medical, do they know the ins & outs of the program or do they just get a form to ask if you're ok physically?0

You only get side effects from Xenical IF you eat too much fat. I was on Xenical for about 18 months and lost 4.5st, although this was combined with going to the gym regularly.0
