Stuck imersion heater

Probably should call a plumber and have a look at a very old boiler, not boiler I mean copper tank. They will charge 100 and say you need a new boiler.
2 questions 1 post
Question 1
Cannot remove Emersion heater. Tried a box immersion spanner, with a heavy lump hammer, tried wd specialist oil for tight nuts. No success also tried a heat gun 600C for 10 mins and that was a no no. Getting desperate may try an angle grinder with a metal cutting disc.
Question 2
I have had a look at the temperature thermostat and it is dry and this goes into the tank. It is a very old pipe that fills this tank.
Lastly I have checked the blue live and it definitely has a current, so this riles out a faulty timer.
Yes I am on a budget, and doing the kitchen by myself to save money.

Buy the correct ringspanner - Available from the sheds (B&Q etc) and cheap as chipsDON'T USE BRUTE FORCE as it will distort the tank - With the spanner on the heating element, repeatedly tap the end with a medium hammer.and also change direction as though you wanted to tighten itIt takes time ! - What you are doing is useing vibration to break a joint seal that's been baked into position for years1

If you are using WD40 type oil this is not really a penetrating oil but more a "WD" Water Displacement oil try a penetrating oil such as :https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-penetrating-lubricating-oil-750ml/19320#_=p
Also as advised use correct spanner hitting one way then the other until it loosens up.
The word you are looking for is hot water cylinder. Not boiler or tank.

Also, turn the water supply off but don't drain down the cylinder itself. Having water in the cylinder will help to prevent the copper from distorting as you crack the immersion heater off the first quarter turn.1

What you need is a mini hack saw blade. Very carefully go right round the join cutting away the old fibre washer which seals the join. Make sure you go deep enough. It doesn’t matter if you cut slightly into the old immersion heater. Once you’ve released it, it will come undone with moderate force. This takes a lot of patience, but it works!
Use too much force, and you’ll need a new cylinder! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -

I am using the correct spanner a box spanner from screwfix which fits.
Boiler appears empty but I will move to that problem if I can fix this.
I think the saw method needs a video link.
But word up so it is called a hot water cylinder. I will check eBay now I have the correct name. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche

So I am looking for a vented meaning old system
hot water cylinder. Not an indirect one which appears to be more complex and connects to a boiler:https://www.screwfix.com/p/rm-indirect-vented-ss-cylinder-935-x-400/40045
It does not seem that expensive and a titanium heater with cost about 50.When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
