To be honest I don’t think the video was even looked at.nicechap said:
Can I just clarify. Management are saying you went under the ramp after (?) warning given, whereas your video shows you being under the ramp at time of warning and when its lowered? What have management said about the veracity & contents of your video in their investigation findings?red_eye said:
Manger followed correct procedure when he lowered the ramp and It seems I went back under so they can not take it further. Correct procedure is to give warning and wait until the ramp is clear. My video shows me under throughout and managers hand pushing the button to lower as I run for my life.oh_really said:

“i have no confidence in the company’s ability to create a safe working environment”.
“I would like my grievance to be taken seriously and I the outcome .......severity of the this issue .” appropriate ?im trying to write a strongly worded letter the last sentence I cannot find the right words
i was under for the full length of the video. My video does not pick any warning whilst I’m under in my defence I did have a running engine above my head.
video shows clearly manager say I told you move in response to my colourful language AS I’m getting out from under the ramp. If this is what the investigator were referring to then it’s too late, warning should be given before you lower the ramp not when I’m running out fearing for my life.

HSE might want to see it but I doubt posting it on a public forum would be in your best interests.red_eye said:

I'm probably being dim, is the video yours (e.g. taken on your phone?) or the company's (CCTV?). if the latter, you should be entitled to a copy under SAR. If the former - why were you videoing in the first place?Originally Posted by shortcrust

video is mine, I was taking it covertly as it was why I had a disaplinery I wanted to review it before I had my meeting a few days after0 -
So did the investigating manager view the video? You said they had a "compressed" copy - is there more on it than they are aware or stuff that is disadvantageous to you? What is your employer's policy on covert video recording?red_eye said:

They have the full video, sending it, it is compressed to save space as far as I know there is no policy on recording and no ones said anythingnicechap said:

In your letter, be clear that you are appealing the grievance hearing outcome (head it such). Send it to the appropriate person and ask they respond within the policy timeframe.
Is the video you refer to new evidence or has it already been submitted but ignored? You mention a rep, is this individual a trade union appointed rep? Are you keeping the rep updated and in the loop? Was the rep present at original hearing?

This video is the one I submitted I’m guessing it wasn’t looked at as what the company has seen and heard in the video I cannot see or hear, In the few times I watched it I have found differences in the hight of the ramp.oh_really said:In your letter, be clear that you are appealing the grievance hearing outcome (head it such). i emailed my rep pointing out I wasn’t happy he’s emailed the company that we are appealing. But I got an email a few days ago saying he feels there is no further evidence. I have replied to my rep saying that there’s discrepancies and also sent the screenshots showing the ramp.
even if the manager had gave warning he should have waited for me to come out before lowering. I could have been stuck and with the engine running I could have been shouting and as you can not see under the ramp he wouldn’t have not noticed until the car came off the ramp and see me in a pool of blood.
wonder if there is such a thing as operating machinery without due care?
