Yeah this needs to be taken seriously. Nobody should be lowering a ramp with someone working under a vehicle regardless of whether or not they'd shouted a warning and regardless of the seniority of their position. It could be the mechanic was in the middle of tightening something up with his hands above his head in the engine bay and wouldn't be instantly able to get out from under it. Depending on what they were doing, because engine bays are so tight for space in modern vehicles, lowering the ramp whilst they had their hands in there could have caused them an injury, anything from a minor cut to crushed fingers.
But, Comms69, thank you for confirming you've never done any maintenance or repairs on a car or worked in a mechanical engineering environment.

Nor have i claimed to have done so? If you can link me to the "Mechanics and Repairs - Exemption from employment law regulations" that would be great.MinuteNoodles said:Yeah this needs to be taken seriously. See i didnt claim it wasn't dangerous or stupid. It clearly is. Perhaps you'd be so kind as you share your wisdom with the OP?
here's what i actually said:
What do you want to achieve?
There's no injury, so no compo due.
This sounds like a one way ticket to being unemployed frankly. Just look for new works if you arent happy.
Which bit do you suggest is factually incorrect? I assume it's not my question. So either you believe compensation is due - which it's not - but happy to hear your position on that. Or you think that somehow the employer cannot sack the OP. and given it's very easy to manage out someone, even with 2 years employment. Again i'd love to hear your position on that

I’m on final warning for petty stuff. There’s one statement that says he didt tell he spotted something I missed because the customer came to collect but he had time to tell me to change spark plugs, air filter and two tyres also fabricated evidence. What I missed was a boot Was missing on a rear shock it was called a dust boot that stops dust getting inside the shock.
this boot does nothing to stop dust if anything it acts like a pump, pushing air as the suspension absorbs bumps and sucks air when it extends has no impact on longevity or safety as it’s a gas shock it has many internal seal that seal from gas to debris.
i understand that if I want to keep my job I’ll need document every issue with manager and document every defect on services no matter how petty, I need to be carful regardless if I make a complaint or not.0 -

Manger followed correct procedure when he lowered the ramp and It seems I went back under so they can not take it further. Correct procedure is to give warning and wait until the ramp is clear. My video shows me under throughout and managers hand pushing the button to lower as I run for my life.oh_really said:

someone please finish this sentences for me
i don’t thing this has enough what do you call it.
“i have no confidence in the company’s ability to create a safe working environment”.
“I would like my grievance to be taken seriously and I the outcome .......severity of the this issue .” appropriate ?im trying to write a strongly worded letter the last sentence I cannot find the right words0 -
To answer your previous point. It's clear the company will not be taking this further. You can write war and peace if you want to, it doesnt mean that you will get the desired outcome - which seems to be atleast in part acknowledgement of the issue.red_eye said:

Whilst everyone should feel safe at work, of course. This employer has made a decision. By all means go to the HSE.
Her'es your sentence "I don't believe the grievance process has taken into account the severity of the situation. The negligent actions of _name_ put me in a significant and serious risk of injury or death." (you could add "I would like my grievance to be taken seriously and the outcome be commensurate to the severity of the this issue") - if nothing else i guess the letter might be evidence should you be unfairly dismissed - as there is whistle blower protection.2 -

angry me would go hs&e right away. But I’ll leave that for last.
Ive emailed my rep but I think I should write to the company outlining my concerns just got to find the right person to send it to.
would a Facebook message or email be seen as evidence?
posting a letter can be done recorded but there’s no proof what was written at least with an email I can cc myself and have a copy of what was sent and to who.0 -
Can I just clarify. Management are saying you went under the ramp after (?) warning given, whereas your video shows you being under the ramp at time of warning and when its lowered? What have management said about the veracity & contents of your video in their investigation findings?red_eye said:
