Is Talk Talk that bad when, its reccomend on here

I'm just changing from Sky to Talk Talk and all the negative things I've been told about them is making want to change back to sky.
SkyQ is costing my £112 a month, that's all but sports and boxsets. TT have offered me all but sports and boxsets £55 for 6 months then £59 there after.
I phoned sky and they were only willing to drop my bill to £92 a month. Told them it was too expensive and I have to leave.
Is it TT that bad? If so why does a person we look up too, take money advice from, support such bad service

  • My mum is with TalkTalk, and they've been pretty good. The call centre staff have always been friendly and helpful, and when she had problems with the tv box, they sent her new kit without a qualm. It's all down to personal experience. I wouldn't go with Virgin Media again after a hideous experience closing a deceased relative's account. Other people love them.
Worst case scenario, you switch back after your term is up and qualify for new customer deals...?
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Who are you looking up to ??  Martin sold this site many years ago .
TT is like all suppliers   users who have a problem post users who have no problem never post .Depends upon who is telling you things and the validity of these things .
MSE has recommended deals from nearly all the main suppliers .
Five recommended before TT on price only today .
Cheaper means cheaper and may be neither better nor worse than more expensive.
Start the switch with TT and see if Sky come back with a better offer or haggle ( see thread with Sky)

TT is absolutely fine until you have an issue, then you find out why it's cheap, as their CS is not great. Having said that, my MIL has been with them for several years now without problems.

As far as I've seen, the site is impartial, in that it gives you prices, but also shows you their customer service rating, currently 4.1/10 and 'ok' for Talk Talk.
FWIW, I wouldn't go back to talk talk if was free - once bitten, twice shy - awful, rude, uncaring script reading call centres - but that's just my experience!
