Today's the day. We were forecast snow overnight, but no sign of it, bright blue sky, no frost, hopefully a trouble free journey. Trying to keep the excitement down a bit. Cleaner here this morning, we will have an early cooked lunch OH will have siesta and then we are off.....into town first to get him a new pair of trousers, he tried his grey trousers on, the would not meet round the middle!! Then on into Leicester Taxi to and from The De Mont and a short catchup with D & A. Reports from the show have been very good, so looking forward to it.
Supper will be rolls and yogurt, the hotel has an hospitality tray so we will be ok for tea etc.
Will travel back after breakfast tomorrow.14 -
Morning,
We had a some sleet yesterday. Sunny but very cold now. More snow forecast from 2am tomorrow. Very cold here.
After work I will visit mom. One way home will pop and get a few grocery bits and then home to our S/c chicken meal.
Happy Wednesday all:)

Morning all, bright and sunny here but bitterly cold this morning which won't affect us because we're both off for the morning session in the charity shop where hopefully it will be warm and dry. HWK will have to come home early to take delivery of a 'sign for' parcel and I'll stay until lunchtime as usual. Hope we're not short handed this morning but we might be as one of our ladies took a fall on Friday and may not be able to get there.
Whatever you're doing, have a good day xxx.

Morning
Grief its so cold here today. Had a horrid night.....during the day I am reasonable adept at keeping those future gloom and doom thoughts under control and keep myself on a positive track but at night they all present themselves in full technicolour and HDLast night was especially bad and I woke up convinced it had all happened again,,,,scary.
Yesterdays pancakes went down well. Today I have a pot on for ham stock which I will turn into pea and ham soup later have some sour dough to dunk
Scarlett....mum is being remarkably understanding to be fair I do her shop online as usual so she's happy enough but as soon as I can I want to get round and see her.
Rubes sorry this is happening for you its the last thing you need. Big squishy hugs xx
Thank you again for the support through this....there are some amazing people on this thread xx

Good morning folks.NELSKI - the night hours are awful for bringing out the hidden fears deep inside. I can only offer reassuring noises. You're on the mend, working so hard to overcome the challenges and each small step forward is actually enormous. The worst is behind you, in front is a better future. It's a bitterly cold yet very bright morning. Today is my cake and fizz day though I feel so far away from celebrating and there's no cake in the house! ☹️DM is fed and watered so I'll probably get myself out for a wee while.Fingers crossed for MOTs, outings, weather, illnesses and disappointments - things will be good!
Happy Wednesday to all.14 -
A quick good morning form a very cold but sunny Mehefinland
Gosh those hail stones are vicious Got caught in some twice yesterday when walking poor Sallylabrador. and they come with no warning!
Left hippos in this morning as Stevie 2 shoes was due. Just had a call to say he has injured his shoulder so will have to trudge back to the swamp and let them out for a bit or they will get cabin fever.. Hopefully his injury is not too serious but its a physical jib and I understand his caution. A few days wont make any difference to Scoobymare.
DS has confirmed royal visit for weekend. Arriving after 12 on Saturday. Bet he's gone by 12 on Sunday. Toxic Troll will be in attendance.. Hotel Mehefin is on tenterhooks:#
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all,Expecting my Morries delivery soon, they are quite often early but usually ring to check it's ok. Another horrid day today so don't envy the driver carting boxes of shopping....oops short break he's hereFood put away so I'll finish on here and then I'll get ready to meet up with my cousins for lunch but no cake today - yesterday I met a friend and we had an 'afternoon tea' as it's her birthday this week. Lovely place and we'll go again but wouldn't have done the scales much good - think I've used up all my weekly WW'treat' points up in one day
DGS to pick up from school later too, it's all go.
Nelski chin up lovey, you're doing so well from the sounds of it, & worries are bound to surface in the night and you've had a trauma.RRuby, hopefully it's to do with the coil removal, I had them years ago and felt the discomfort for a good while after. Lots of hugs for you.Csarina enjoy your trip.I'm not deciding on tea until I get back, plenty in the fridge now! Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)15 -

Was that a brush over the fact that today is your birthday???? Im taking it as a yes so despite your protestations do something lovely for yourself, take yourself out away from the mum noise and treat yourself. Cake and fizz are essential plus a rather indulgent and utterly unnecessary but gorgeous present just for you and then more fizz. Its an order12
