I think this is probably a simple one but I have read conflicting things so would like to check.
I am looking to switch providers for broadband, not in contract anymore.  So do I need to approcah my current provider to cancel, or do I simply initiate the switch and let the new provider do all that?  From what I can gather it is the latter but as I said, I have read conflicting things.

  • Just contact your new supplier, the process is gaining provider led and they will tell your old supplier.

The exception being if you are with Virgin.  You will need to tell them you are leaving, as the gaining provider won't.
  • Thank you, not with Virgin so will press ahead with the switch :)
