How? I'm getting too many notifications popping up for a thread I commented on. How do I stop them?

Edit your profile (towards the top right of the screen).

Once there, one of the options on the left menu bar is to tweak your notification preferences

That looks like it will let me turn all notifications off but not for an individual thread? Or am I missing something

Unbookmark the thread in question; it appears to be the new term for what was known as unsubscribing from a thread on the old forum.

The Bookmark/Unbookmark button is at the top of the thread in question, when you are logged in.

It's not a thread they Bookmarked but one they Commented on, i.e. posted a reply. It is one of the options in Notifications to receive emails on threads where you have posted a reply but it is an all or nothing option. You cannot omit individual threads.

I'm geting email notifications from threads I've commented on , I've unticked all my notification preferences but still getting them ,

same here...i just posted on the techie section without realising there is a thread already...This looks like a major flaw to me...i want to "bookmark" threads so i can come back to it in future but i dont want hundreds of emails whenever anybody posts on the thread....should be simple to fix really....
