It can take a few weeks depending on workload.
Be prepared for Halifax to close your account if they don't that's great but they usually do.
Looks like the OR has everything they need from you so try to relax ...it will get better now.0 -
It does seem to be that you've weathered the storm and things will take their natural course, sit back, take a deep breath and let the banks/OR do their job and take heart that you have dealt with all the nasty letters chasing you, it is done. In twelve months you can start afresh and believe me before you know it you will be discharged.
Enjoy the w/end, it could rain (again!)

So I had a letter stating they won't need to speak to me again 😁 however I have (yet another) question regarding council tax....the council were named as one of my creditors (total £900) but have just received a bill including that amount. Do I need to contact them and ask them to remove it? Or, because it's also in my husband's name, will he be liable for the whole lot?0

Hi yes your husband is liable for the whole amount now. The same if any utility bills are in joint names0

So all has been quiet on the western front for a couple of weeks but I've started to get default notices from some companies 🤔 do I contact these companies and give them my BR number and request they remove any default notices from the date of the BR?
Also, I have provided EDF with my br number but they have continued to remove money from my prepayment meter every week despite this. Can I ask them to return this to my meter since that could be seen as prioritising a creditor, therefore jeopardising my BR?
Oh and Halifax still haven't frozen my account 😳
Sorry for all the questions in this weird time, I know there are worse things going on right now.0 -
Default notices and letters about debts being sold are all quite normal and nothing to worry about, it generally takes a few months to settle, but they do still come through years after
you should talk to EDF about the prepayment meter debt, and if no joy there speak to the OR
re Halifax, I suspect if they were going to do anything they would have done by now, but they like most banks can ditch anyone as a customer with not a lot of notice.0
