So today I have a BR number and my application is "being considered" according to the gov.uk page 😁
What will happen now?? Is now the time to apply for a bank account, or wait until it's granted? Am to expect a phone call? What will the content of this phone call be?
I'm strangely happy, scared...is this the day I can start again?!

Yes, you can apply for a basic bank account now and it would be safe. When it's granted, the bankruptcy date will be the date you submitted the forms so anything after that is post going bankrupt. You will likely get a phone call in a couple of days to arrange an interview with the OR, in my case they asked me if I wanted to do it there and then. The interview will be a look into your ability to pay an IPA, look at finances, talk about how you got in debt etc...
I may be wrong sometimes, I learn a little every time I'm corrected.

Would it be best to wait until tomorrow to open an account? Not sure how it would look to the OR applying for an account the very same day? Or does it not matter?

I applied for a new bank account about 15 minutes after I submitted the forms, as the account is post bankruptcy it doesn't need to be mentioned to the OR, I would expect 99% of people who go bankrupt apply for a new basic account as soon as they go bankrupt.

Thank you for this info, I've just opened a nationwide basic account ☺️

My bankruptcy has been approved!! What a weight off 😊 now to wait for the phone call with the OR...not looking forward to that but I know it has to be done.
Quick question....EDF energy were named as a creditor. I owed a total of around £900 that they have been taking off my credit on a prepayment meter, will they stop taking it now or will I have to speak to them?

Are you going BR or doing a DRO?
I literally cannot wait until my phone stops ringing and I can empty my voicemail...and it stays empty!!
