If/when you know the identity of the landowner you should complain to them.

Always complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Hi Fruitcake - thank you for your reply (which didn't show up for a few hours - strange!)
What would one gain from complaining to the landowner - happy to do so but will this make any difference?
And is this actually an 'unregulated SCAM'? - given that I was out of the 3 hour parking permissions, albeit by 1 hour, it would seem that, indeed, I was violating their rules, although I am not sure why I would have been there for 4 hours!

    TIA

    A cancellation perhaps.

    Hi D_P_Dance
I called them this morning and they have cancelled.  Not sure if this makes a difference though?

Well done, but it is not cancelled until Parking Lie say it is cancelled in writing. Hopefully you got confirmation from Morrisons in writing that they want this cancelled.

There is no debt so cannot have been sold. Parking Lie will have asked DCBL to send out bog paper on a no win no fee basis. It doesn't matter if your data is in the debt crawler's hands as they have no power to do anything. You can tell them to cease and desist if you wish, or you can your talk to a wall. I doubt if either will make any difference.

So, I have received all information kept on file for this parking fine and Private Eye have written to confirm they have cancelled the charge.  I am still waiting for written confirmation from Morrisons that they have also cancelled the charge - only given verbally over the phone.  Is there something I need to do now?
    TIA

Ask Morrisone for email confirmation.    It's ParkingEye, Private Eye is a magazine

You don't need to do anything more; if P/Eye say it's cancelled then it is.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
