Is the Samsung £400 cashback worth it?

My TV has blown so I am desperately due a new one. My partner wants a new one for his bedroom too. I am getting conflicting information so really not sure about what to do.

I need to buy this model https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue65ru7400uxxu-65-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv-with-bixby-10191833-pdt.html with a price match of £599 if they approve it. My boyfriend will be buying this TV regardless and is not prepared to wait.

So the Samsung guy in Currys says I can get £400 cashback if I buy this model https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-qe65q85ratxxu-65-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-qled-tv-with-bixby-10191569-pdt.html with my boyfriends TV together. I am also due a 5% discount due to a big mess up! Hopefully they will add the discount on top.

Now when I went to Richer Sounds, the guys there said I should wait till March which is when all the new TV’s come out and the current ones get reduced by quite a bit. Obviously they don’t know by how much. I would have to be quick also.

I’m not in any rush for my TV, I’m happy to wait till March. But how likely am I to get £400 off the Q85 TV? Is the £400 Samsung offer worth it? Do I just go for it now or do they do this on purpose prior to the new TV’s coming out?

Check the £400 off offer.  On the Currys web site you have to buy a Samsung sound bar  or TV to get this.
However if I am reading it right the T&C suggests that the second item fro a specific list.
  • Hi Cranford. I double checked and the £599 TV is on the list. The guy in store also mentioned it when I said I need a new TV. His sales pitch worked in that instance haha.

A 65" TV for £599 is mid range at best. Do you even have enough room for such a huge set?

The second set you have listed ,is at the other end of the cost spectrum . At £1599 its almost the most expensive 65" LED set - as far as I'm aware the £400 offer has to be used to buy a second TV or sound bar.
