Morning all,Just more endless rain here though it was hailstoning before we got up & snow forecast for tomorrow. There is hardly anywhere to walk on the park that isnt submerged, poor pooch was dragging her heels and wanted to go back home. I think the council have just been clearing the grids hereabouts, they're all blocked.Yesterday was DH birthday so we had family visitors Sat & Sun, DGC stayed Sat and we took them to the cinema to see Sonic the Hedgehog ( not quite what DH had in mind as a birthday treat
but pleasant enough. Yesterday we had a late lunch out after we dropped the kids off home.Good grub but very slow service!

Very grey here but at least we do not have any snow!! Hope it stays away until after Thursday, we are due to go to the De Mont Wednesday night, staying over and coming back Thursday.
Laundry in, dryer again......will be glad when the better weather comes and I can hang them out once more, especially the sheets and duvet cover.
OH is off to Evergreen today, the last meeting was cancelled because of the weather. I will go to Morrison and then fill the car up and get more hearing aid batteries from the hospital, before I go and pick him up. Drs appointment at 4pm. Not looking forward to it.
Egg, chips and beans tonight, more of the rasps in jelly for dessert.10 -
Morning all,
Went for a walk yesterday wearing my flipflops (forgot shoes) and suffered for it last night, got very little sleep......shoes today even if only going out to the car!!
Dumpling......I hope that the nurse can help with your leg.
Happy birthday Scarlet Ribbons......have a good day.
Nelski......you are doing so well, hope that new terrorist will be good.
Can't remember who has snow .......love to see it but like it gone asap.
Heavy rain here last night, luckily we are well above sea level.
We found a lovely little park yesterday in next town, with outdoor "gym" with lots of machines.......not sure that's the word.....OH was delighted and we plan on going back today, if rain doesn't set in.
Have a good day everybody.

The cupboard is done 🎉 masses to go out, some (well, 18 bars) guest soaps for either CS or homeless place, and tons of jars of stuff to empty and then recycle the containers. Two bottles of very old calamine lotion. A very old bottle of shoe whitening stuff, used on canvas plimsolls, umpteen body lotions. There was even a bottle of baby oil bought from a shop in the town DM last lived in over fifty years ago. Wee tins of Kiwi shoe polish (hard and cracked) and umpteen aerosols of barely used hair products.I'm sitting at the kitchen table scooping out creams etc into newspaper. Think it'll take me the rest of the afternoon. No snowstorm hasn't arrived yet 😀 though I do feel for those trapped by it elsewhere.13

Morning all, a very wet day here but no snow. I had a pleasant day yesterday, a friend came so we put the world to rights. Today nothing much happening other than battling with getting laundry dry and I'm boring myself.
Happy Birthday ScarletRibbons and I think I missed I Love Comps birthday yesterday so hope you had ahappy dayI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back14 -
Afternoon, manic morning in the shop and I didn't get to leave until 1.45 (was supposed to be 1) because no one had had time for lunch so I covered while they did. Very wet and windy this morning but the rain has gone this afternoon just leaving us the strong winds. HWK managed to cut the lawns yesterday afternoon and they look so much better, many lovely bulbs up and in flower too make it cheerful which is nice. Got some ironing to do but am taking '5' at the moment as I stood on the till all morning and my knee is sore again.
Have a good day all xxx.

Well, I've been writing this post for nearly two hours now, keep getting interrupted in the doings...And OH showing me funny stuff on the internet, James Acaster, so funny. He's listening to Hans Zimmerman while he paints so that's made me want to watch Gladiator....My ears are cold and the fire shall be lit before long I think, but it's only raining, not snowing..I think the best thing to do in the snow unless you're used to it is just stay home anyway. Do you know, I've lost all compunction when it comes to socially acceptable or dutiful things, like going to school or work, to do it if it's looking like it might be dangerous [like in snow for example] I used to feel very shocked when a friend used to tell me she didn't answer the door if she didn't want to, nor go to college [ she's just finished a degree in social work so I expect that was because this time, she really really wanted to] because I was just so well Pavlovian brought up...I think thats one positive from the last couple of years, I'm not intimidated by not having a job, I don't feel I must do things. They are going to shut the next village to my cousin today I think [it's about two or three miles away], no one in or out so they are taking it very seriously. My sister has spoken to her and she says they can't get face masks or anti bac gel at all for love nor pots of money so my sister has made her a care parcel.Happy birthday Scarlet! Nelski, people give wine away? What madness is this? I may have to look for a swapping site!
ready made filo? You'll breeze through it! dumpling, hope they dress them quick! Yes, smaller size plates for sure, I will also do that today, although they dinner will be mostly veggies so not too bad. Good job I like them! TA, preparation is the key to relaxation, well done! Hope youre not too puffed after bed wrangling...Gers, can you come to my house and do the same thing here? You have a magic touch to be persuading your mother to accept the declutter
ruby, hope your car passed! nanny, we could be clones, they just made a second more imperfect version in me
Hey all readers along, shout out to Holly, Hester and SO...Mellifluous Monday!

Well we made it - lots of flooding on the A65 although none of it impassable thankfully. It's very windy here, I'm so glad we had the roof replaced a year or so ago. Just as well we came up today because the workman who'd been in and gone had left the yale lock on the snib. We rang his boss who said he'd give him a b*ll*cking.
